113 Years in America...as of 12/24/2022
This website is decicated to my Grandfather, Severino, An Immigrant from Italy, who made this all possible!
Severino Capretta was born in Rionero Sannitico Italy on March 4th 1884 to Belardino Capretta and Antonia Vincenzo. Severino first came to America on April 6th 1901 at the age of 17. Eventually returning to Italy, he married Seraphina DiFranco born in 1883. In 1906 a daughter Antoinette was born, and in 1909 they had a son named Amedeo. Severino went back to America early in 1909, to look for work and a home so he could bring his new family to America. On December 24th 1909 Christmas Eve, Seraphina, Antoinette now 3years old, and Amedo just an infant, arrived at Ellis Island. From there they went to their new home in Cleveland, Ohio and over the next 10 years had 5 more children, Angelo, Louise, Maria Palmerin, and Orlando, and now there are 167 descendants, with only 6 to carry on the Capretta name, 2 Grandsons, Richard & Thomas, 3 Great Grandsons, Richard Jr., Michael & Nicholas, and two Great Great Grandsons, Michael Dominic Jr. and Nicholas Lee Jr. and as they say, the rest is history...

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
